Sibelius Natural Products develops branded natural products to support healthy ageing. Our ingredients are scientifically evidenced, clinically proven and fully-traceable from source to supplement. Founded as a spin-out of Oxford University in 2015, Sibelius has a strong scientific foundation for all New Product Development (NPD). The heart of Sibelius' NPD process is our patented Chronoscreen™ profiling platform. Chronoscreen™ drives the exploration of the biological activity of natural ingredients and enables faster NPD, leading to greater value clinical trials. Through its unique properties, Chronoscreen™ allows the identification of high-quality botanical sources, exclusive ingredients and synergistic formulations. WHY ROMAN CHAMOMILE?
Roman Chamomile (Chamaemelum nobile or Anthemis nobilis L.) is one of the oldest known medicinal herbs that possess strong antioxidant, immune health and calming properties (Guimarães, 2013). It has been used traditionally to naturally promote restful sleep, respiratory and gastrointestinal health(Al-Snafi, 2016 & Adib-Hajbaghery, 2017). Although it is often confused with the more well-known German chamomile (M. camomilla L.), its therapeutic effects were stated to be better than those of German (EMA, 2012). Roman chamomile has an exceptional safety profile and is a great source of flavonoids and azulene compounds, which have been previously reported for their immune health effects(Melegari, 1988, Tanaka, 2013 & Kawai, 2007).
